Burning sensation
Just a possibility, but it could be either irritation of the superficial peroneal nerve, or the extensor retinaculum (a band of fibrous tissue that holds the muscles in place) - either of these could have been affected by swelling from the flare. Whatever it is, it's probably worth speaking to your GP and maybe getting a physio referral.

Hi - I have this too and it started for me well before I was put on MTX so I think it's part of the disease. I still get it but not always and not as extremely as I did at the start of my RA. I haven't a clue what it is I'm afraid but always mention it to my rheumy. Tilda x
Thanks ladies I have an appointment at end of the month so I'll ask then
