Well girls(we are mostly girls) here i am again, its three in the morning and here i am wide awake but yawning. I couldn't sleep due in part to ra and it being too hot despite having all the windows open in the bedroom. They did forecast the humid night time weather.
I caught the sun very much yesterday and i didn't do too much either as the flare is still going strong i'm afraid to say. All i seemed to do yesterday was cry,so heavens know what i'm going to be like today when the sun gets up. Already i have had my hands in cold water so that doesn't bode well for the morning. My hands have become like... oh i can't think yes red hot pokers hot!!
I haven't had a lot of sleep tonight yet so i'm hoping that after a bit down here i will be able to rest and get some sleep. So if any of you night owls are awake i'm here if you want to chat...

Hi Sylvi,
I am awake too, few aches and pains overnight, mostly toes and fingers.
Main problem was hubby though, his meds sometimes give him very vivid dreams, so he's been jumping about most of the night! Luckily I only got kicked once and hit in the back once when he was dreaming he was playing basketball! He's snoring away at the mo (lucky him!).
Not good that your hands are soaking already, you seem to be having a bad time at the mo - poor you. Sending you gentle hugs this morning.
I hope you manage to get a little shut eye during the day. I have a busy day ahead, I think by this evening I'll be shattered. We have a new sofa arriving today, it's an electric recliner, so looking forward to that coming.

Morning mary,I don't have trouble with hubby snoring or or having vivid dreams thank goodness. I don't envy you. I am having a rough time with the old ra/fibro,my inflammation markers are a bit high. I rang the rheumy and she has got me in tomorrow,which is lovely of her. I am very lucky with her as she is very good and she is compassionate as well. Bless her i was crying down the phone and she was wonderful to me. I managed to get some sleep in my chair,even if i am stiff today. That won't change yet. You will be surprised how comfy your sofa will be. We don't have a settee at all in our lounge we have two recliners and two single chairs. Hubby brought the two chairs with me in mind. You will have a fight who is going to sit in the recliner half,unless it has two recliners in it.

I too have trouble sleeping . One week I got a total of 6 hrs sleep all week. I obtained some tablets from Lioyds chemist called Sleep Well they have Valerian in them. I took two last night and today is the first time in ages!! that I don't feel like I'm in a fog and feel like I have actually slept properly. Worth a try
Morning girls,I have just got from shopping with hubby and i am wacked.I have drugs from the drs to help me sleep,but its not much good when i'm in a flare,but i will certainly look at that. I will have to ask the chemist as i have high blood pressure as well.
You will be in heaven with the recliner i can tell you,you will wonder how you managed before.
I am now going out to the garden and to rest as i ache.
It's too hot to blog now, suffering from the heat.
Was awake till about 2.30, hubby had lap top as we've just bought a new used car. Thankfully I fell asleep, but was awaken by the dog barking at 3.45am . Today is mtx day, I will take it later and generally I sleep on mtx day as I take coco's due to the headache you can get from
mtx.
Hopefully I can blog later when its cooler.

Me too beth,i ache so much i'm crying,i don't know where to put myself. My toes on my left foot are swollen and very sore and both my hands and knees are hot and sore.
Just had a cuddle off hubby and he is making the tea,i'm calming down now. Sorry about that. Sylvi.xx
Beth and everyone,i have calmed down now. Had a good bawl and a cuddle from hubby and a cup of tea and a fresh cream eclair. Still ache but i feel better for the cry.
Sylvi,you have been through an awful lot and i'm sure all of us will be happy when you have fully recovered from that op. and get up to a good level of MTX or whatever it takes to get you on track again.
He is,he is so worried about me and he can't do anything to help ease the pain. He is doing all the housework because i just can't do it.
The trouble is beth i don't feel like i have been through a lot as it is all part of the road we have to tread. I think there are some on here who are a lot worse than me. At the moment i don't know what to think as i have had ra for 9yrs now and i have never had what i am going through now. I have been well looked after by my rheumy team, so until now i didn't really know what pain was until was....
Hi Girls, like all of you , I'm also suffering from the heat, have spent a lot of time on my bed in my underwear, with a fan aimed at me, sucking on icepops or jublees, water in a spray, migraine cool pads on my forehead or back of neck, its the 'head sweats' that get me down more than anything. I am lucky that my 'Stills' hasn't affected my hand or feet, mine's mainly my knees,hips,shoulders, I can't imagine what you ladies go through not to be able to do things because of the pain eg writing,sewing,knitting.I love cooking but can't do as much as I would like as I can't bend down to the oven, so I have a table top cooker and I can't stand, but I have a purching stool, so I sit and do my jobs from there, also have 1 in the bathroom. Your all strong girls and you other half's are strong people too. Speak soon have a good afternoon Take care love Ann xx
