That's lovely news, we all need positive things in our life and for me my dog keeps me going. what bred is he? Congratulations, :-)

That's brilliant Robert, hope you will be very happy together. I would love a dog but hubby not too keen. Keep posting updates for us.

Aw, so cute. I'm sure you will find your days full with a new puppy, they are wonderful. I remember when I brought my dog home at 6 weeks old, perfect. Dogs are great company and you will find yourself talking to him! My dog is now 12 years old now, but I still tell her she's my puppy! Happy training and hope it goes smoothly for you all. Debs

I know what you mean dogs are great for company you can say whatever you want to dog and they will not hold anything against you.

You will taake a dog for a walk but you will not go for a walk on your own . I hope you have many happy years to gether. Dogs are for life

Awww, I want one!! But I am really rubbish with my brothers dog, I want to "baby" it and he (being really good)tells me its an animal and tells me I'm too soft with her!!!but I know that's not good for dogs!!!!! What have you called the puppy? Enjoy it now.... They grow quickly!!!!! Do u know this picture has cheered me up so much, thank you Axx

I have to say that getting a dog again was one of the best things I have done! I have two labradoodles - they mean that I need to get out every day to walk them, sometimes I wish I didn't as I hurt so much but once I'm out I really enjoy it. I've met so many people through the dogs.

At the moment I've got 4 dogs as I'm looking after a puppy before it goes out to Bermuda to it's new home & other one for a friend.

aww what a lovely wee cutie pup. We have got two a beautiful while golden retriever and a little cross lab and collie. I can't walk them at all yet, i have no balance but they are good fun to watch and stroke when i am feeling miserable.

Hi Robert, you will soon be asking yourself "what did we do before we got Rex".

We have a jack russell terrior (... terror .!...) (called Jack) we got him a year or so ago and he's definitely been a good idea. (He was a rescue dog). His antics make me laugh plus he's company for me when my OH goes out - so I ask myself the question "what did we do before Jack?" we were definitely certainly missing a lot.

He does want his own way though (the dog), especially at bed time - doesn't matter how many times I get out of bed and put him on the floor during the night, when I wake up in the morning he's somewhere in the bed with me!

That being said I had a migraine on Tuesday night/Wednesday morning (following a rituximab infusion) and ended up sleeping on the bathroom floor as I kept being sick - eventually I had got fed up of just making it to the bathroom and grabbed a pillow and cover, layed on the floor and dropped off to sleep. When I woke up Jack was curled up with me on the floor so he gets top marks for dedication! Bless him.

Hope Rex's injections go well (and he doesn't see the vet as the enemy!)

Aw, that is amazing, and very sweet! My cat Bridget does that to me, she seems to sense when I'm feeling bad and laying down at the wrong time of the day, she needs the body contact. I call her my Velcro cat, very clingey :)
