Advice re non surgical managment of Ulnar nerve entrapment.

Have just been diagnosed with compressed ulnar nerves, probably due to the inflammation & swelling in my elbows from the RA & wondered if anyone has any suggestions for natural ways to manage this. Has resulted in numb tingling little fingers & ring fingers.

Thanks

Andie

Hi Andie, yes it can be caused by the swelling and inflammation in the elbow but I'm not sure what can be done apart from surgery, apart from the meds you would probably already be taking for the RA.

I've had surgery on both wrists and an elbow replacement, sometimes surgery seems to be the only option.

Sorry I wasn't more helpful, good luck

Hi I have had splints made for this as mine when at its worst curls my fingers up, I have excercises to do (from ot) and the splints/straps to hold the fingers straight.

This is just what my OT has advised until surgery is done.

Thanks for the responses - will have a chat with my hand OT, I have some resting splints but no exercises so will ask about those.
