Anyone had any experience of an Appeal, I had my DLA stopped so decided to appeal and won my care element back (low rate care) but not my Mobility. I have an Appeal hearing coming up in 2 weeks and wondered if anyone had any experience or advise.
Cheers and thanks.

No had a appeal about DLA, my hubby did appeal a decision about over payment that went to Tribunal.
We are currently appealling his ESA decision and this time we have gone to the Benfits Welfare person at our local CAB. Experience has taught us that there are just too many ways you can trip yourself up with the DWP.
There is an organisation called Benefits and Work that offer loads of advice and has leaflets you can download on things like going to appeal.
But, take any info you can that will support your appeal - letters from doctors, employers, people that know you saying how your disability affects your life. Make sure have every letter the DWP wrote to you, if poss if you still have copies of previous claim forms take them - this could demonstrate that your disability has not changed to the point that you no longer qualify.
Having been down this road once already I have now become really obsessive about keeping copies of letters, forms and documents and notes of phone calls with dates, times and name and the quist of the conversation and main points written down.
I agree with the above comment you need to enlist the support of a local welfare advice worker i.e. CAB to help guide you through this process.
Sadly there's not much time before your hearing to gather evidence of how the disability affects your daily life, if you have copies of any letters sent from the consultant to your GP get copies into the tribunal panel a.s.a.p. Never send original get copies made and send them.
Also, contact any other professional's you've been involved with i.e. Physio, OT even Occ health at work if they've provided support and request a letter of support from them detailing help and support they've given and long term plan.
I've added the benefitsandwork link which will give you more information, there is a subscription but lots of free information available too.
The panel will be made up of a Chairperson, Dr and Layperson, during the hearing you'll be asked questions relating to your everyday activities and how you manage, answer their questions briefly stating how you do things, if you can't do something say so and leave it at that, there's no need to emphasise anything. If they're unclear they'll ask you to explain further also, if you can't do something just say I can't do that now.
Check the link for benefitsandwork there's loads of advice and tips on there.
