I am feeling realy fed up and in pain this morning. Yesterday i was feeling quite good and cheerful,after a very bad night with some horrible dreams i got up at 5am this morning. My knee is killing me today and my hands and arms are not much better. Next thursday can't come quick enough for me. I have emailed the surgeons secetary to let her her know and i have asked her to let him know. My knee just seems to keep swelling,the way i am feeling at the moment they can chop the leg off at the knee for all i care today. I had a great nights sleep monday night and last night it was rubbish.The fall has taken more out of me than i first thought. So here i am sitting down resting and getting very fed up again at the way my body keeps letting me down.
I know there are some of you who are a lot worse off than i am. I am lucky in the fact my hubby takes good care of me,never thought it would be this way round.
So i will go and find a nice photo to post for you all to brighten up your day.

Hi Sylvia, sorry you are feeling so low and bad. Next week will be here soon enough. A good friend of mine sees her consultant today as both knees are badly affected and so swollen I wonder how she manages to walk (which she does with difficulty and a stick to help!).
A fall can cause so many other problems which we don't realise at the time.
I am pretty sure some of the damage to my shoulder was done 2 years ago when I fell and broke my wrist. I banged the shoulder hard as I went down!
Have you got your painkillers and anti inflammatories handy? also I find an ice pack is very helpful in reducing the swelling.
My hand has gone down now and I can use my fingers again although the thumb joints are still painful. You forget how much you use your hands!
Have a good rest over the next few days and try not to let anything worry you = easier said than done I know.
You hit the nail on the head,it is easier said than done.I'm glad your hand has gone down,my joints stay swollen no matter what. I can't wait until next week when it will start to be sorted. I am fortunate that i haven't broken any bones,its a miracle really seeing how i'm always doing stupid things. Resting is all i seem to be doing,its getting ridiculous all this resting. I wouldn't be surprised if after this knee he will do the other knee at least i hope he does. I don't want to have it done at the other hospital anyway.

Kerry,sorry its taken so long to reply to you,but i had a phone call from walsgrave hospital asking about having my bloods done. He said that if i can go over there and see him he will organise getting them all done ready for next week. We got there and hubby stayed with the car and i went up to the ward to meet the man who rang me. He then took me down to the path lab and jumped the queue and got them all done. Now when i go in next week i won't have to go through all that again. That was a surprise i can tell you. So while i was there i nipped into the shop that they have there and i saw a union jack scarf which i got and a pink handbag which i liked. So i am a naughty girl for getting another handbag.lol.

I had a better nights sleep even if my ra doesn't want to play today. I am now feeling like i am getting somewhere with this knee. My problem is i can have a good day and the next i'm just rubbish. TODAY is a good one. Long may it last. I am enjoying it while its here.. I got a lovely pink over the shoulder bag and the best scarf ever in a union jack. I am a royalist as you can imagine by the fuss i'm making over the scarf. xx
