Hi everyone I have been pretty rough for the past four weeks I was put on Embrel with methotrexate and leflunamide.

felt great with this combo. Then they took my leflunamide awaySince then I am suffering from severe lower back pain. Anyone had similiar symptoms? Now I am on loads of diff. painkillers damn anyone can tell me what do I do???????????

iy takes two years for Ldflunomide to get out of the system so maybe the back pain is due to something else. See GP or, better still an osteopath.i found chirroptactic a bit too rough for me

Hi Rokia,

I tried leflunomide about a year ago, for only two months. I had to come off it because of severe back pain and stomach acidity, which lasted quite a while even after coming off it. I'm afraid, I really hated this drug. Hope this helps.

Hi there. I am only familiar with Embrel which I've been on for several months. it does work and eases my joints but had a bad flare up last week. I think it was my fault in a way because I overdid it with physical activity. I should listen to my body but can't sit idly around doing nothing. I hope you get some relief soon from your symptoms.

As Magglen mentioned, it may be a good idea to speak to your GP about this new symptom if it is concerning you. They may also be able to do a bit of a review of your pain medications to help ease things. A warm wheat pack or hot water bottle may help to offer some temporary pain relief to your back, while others may find a cold pack to help with the pain, so whichever works for you.
