I have an eye infection and have been prescribed Chloramphenicol drops .I take MTX is this mix O.K for me ??

I think you could go and ask your pharmacist. They are very clued up and can find out for you.

I expect it will be ok, as its a very low dose and its applied "topically" (I think the word is), so it doesn't really get in your system.

Thank you Phoebe -- I did see a pharmacist today -- not a problem when using these drops & taking MTX.

I have an eye clinic app. next week -- as I have other eye problems.

Hi Jac22. You should be ok with the drops. I have taken them without problems in the past, particularly after cataract ops when I put them in for 4 weeks. I did mention it to my eye specialist and the pharmacist and both confirmed they do not react with MTX. LavendarLady X

Thank you Lavender Lady -- I think it is dry eyes that is my problem -- not sure that the drops ( tears Naturale ) are still doing the job ?? Thursday cannot come quick enough !! Which is my app. day for the eye clinic.
