I have had this all day and I cant get comfortable. Its awful, hurts from my knee up the back of my thigh. Is it ligaments or muscular? Is it something you usually get with RA?

Is it normal to get pain in the your legs, not joint pain?
Hi
If you've ruled out pain from exercise or stretching too much, then it could be the RA as I get pain all through my arms or legs and other places now and then. The damp cold weather affects me and RA gives pain not just in joints, can affect ligaments and muscles so it could well be the RA that is causing the pain. I do notice if I've been using a limb more than normal, I get pain all through it, not just joint. But sometimes the RA just hits in the strangest places. If you have a heat pad, try that and painkillers obviously. I used Voltarol for an inflamed achilles and it helped, so maybe try rubbing that in where it hurts.
RA can hit you in so many places can't it?!!
Hope it goes soon.

Hi
There are other types of inflammatory arthritis. You could also have fibrio, that's pain in the muslces & ligaments I think and another one that affects the tendons etc. Some on here have fibrio aswell as ra.
I think sometimes when you have joint pain it also eminates down or up into the muslce well it seems like that to me.
Contact your gp they will be able to confirm one way or the other.
Good luck
