I hope i haven't done any damage.

I have had a couple of good days and my head is very clear. I went to bedworth this morning to get hubby some new slippers and order some prescriptions as well. Came home got everything unpacked, not much shopping to unpack.

Then i went into the garden where hubby was putting up a little wall for me. While he was doing that i started to pot on the seeds that i had grown indoors. I even sat down while i was doing it. When we came in for lunch hubby made me stop and i found it very hard i can tell you. I did as i was told in the end. I hadn't lifted anything heavy or done anything stupid.

Then this evening after tea i was sitting in my chair watching tv and all of a sudden i get a pain like someone was putting a knife down my knee where the ligaments had been stitched. It was so painful and it brought tears to my eyes i can tell you. I don't know what i've done but when i tried to go upstairs on my stairlift i couldn't bend my knee enough to put it on the footpad. I got hubby to help me in and out of the bath. Now i'm sitting here with ice on my knee as i don't know what else to do, so any advice would be welcome.

So i am now watching ncis and then csi and i'm not moving. Have a lovely evening everyone..

Hi Sylvi,

Is it better this morning? I hope so. I find alternating ice and warm packs works best for me.

And have you heard from Loretta recently? She hasn't posted for days so hoping her hand is ok. Polly

Thanks Polly, I have been away for a few days, I see I missed 3 days' worth of blogs!! I will get right on writing one, hand slow but no new problems.

Polly, good morning. If i stay off my feet i'm not too bad,but thats an impossility when you have to use the loo etc. I have taken tramadol this morning to help with the pain. I'm reluctant to go to my gp as he will send me to hospital where i had it done in the first place and i don't want that so near to having it done at another hospital.

I will face book loretta and say your asking after her and i will see how she is getting on.

I will get dressed and then i will put ice on it to see if it will help. I did have ice on it last night before i went to bed.

I'm back, Sylvi, thinking maybe you got a crick in your knee from holding it bent while sitting? If it is more swollen, use ice, if not, heat should help the pain. Alternating should help both . Going to go write :)

Hi Sylvi,

I did message this morning then my computer crashed :( Hope it has slightly improved, I would rest up as much as possible for a few days, if it is still there over the weekend I would probably suggest you get yourself to doctor to get checked out. You've probably just pulled something after being busy yesterday - although not busy you sa, I'm sure you are just being hard on yourself x

Jen, i am resting, as for going to the doctors no way, the reason being they will send me to the hospital the buggered my knee up in the first place. I don't want to go there as i have to go to my other hospital next month to get it put right. I'll have to go on facebook and see if i can borrow some crutches until it settles down.

Hi Sylvi, I've had this a couple of times now.Once in my hip and once in my knee.I likened it to someone pushing a knitting needle with a sharp point into me.

It just seemed to come on for no apparent reason and it is sooo painful. The positive thing is that it went after a couple of days and I've not had it since.

Hope you are the same and your pain soon goes.xxx

Probally summer, but i was sitting down and hubby won't let me overdo it as he was out there with me building a little wall. I had been resting all afternoon so it was a surprise when it hit me. I have been in contact with the surgeons pa for advice, if i go to docs they won't do anything anyway just tell me to rest which is what i am doing. I'm not going to get stressed about it if i can't do anything until my op. sylvi. xx

Hi Sylv

Scary moment!

How do you feel today? Is it moveable (bendable)? I feel it for you as you must of been in a lot of pain.

Really hope it is bearable today and improves over time. If you still have it, then maybe you need a injection of muscle relaxant or something?

Thinking of you Sci x

Sounds like muscles that have not been used for a while suddenly have? Tendons pulling too? My knee goes through this a lot as it needs replacing at some point. I use Deep Freeze spray before I go out anywhere I will have to walk and I use the cannabis oil cream before bed on my knee too. Hope it is just a little bit too much overuse and you feel better soon. xxxxx
