Well I took the plunge on Tuesday and went to the theatre. Travelled by train and tube with mask. Quite nervous as I have only been out twice in the last eighteen months. But life is short and I feel ok!
So we arrive at the theatre- steps!
My face fell! But a very kind assistant came over, saw my walking stick and said”good evening come this way” and took us through a little side door- no stairs! Toilet- no stairs, seat -no stairs and he took our order for the break so I did not need to stand. His kindness made my day and the show was wonderful.
So glad I have stuck my tortoise head out again.

Glad to hear you decided to go for it, and that you enjoyed the show! It's good to hear that theatres are becoming more accommodating, especially as some of the older West End ones are very difficult to cope with. I went to the theatre for the first time since covid ,last October, and I was very nervous, but I was ok. Almost everyone was wearing a mask back then. I recently went a couple of weeks ago - I was the only one wearing a mask in the section I was in 🙄
