I didnt see the manager, but I rang him today and told him what happened, I was very emotional telling him about it. I was surprised how I was like crying and shaking talking about it. He said to send it all in an email which I did. He is not coming to my site for a few weeks. He said he is in contact with my manager. He said I should have told the restaurant manager, but I explained she is friends with the one I am complaining about! He understood he says. I don't think anything will get sorted out for a few weeks yet. Unfortunately I will be working with the one I am complaining about tomorrow. That is going to be so hard! I don't want anyone to know at work, only the main bosses as it will be unbearable. Also I think I will be talked about which I hate... I want to thank you for your support once again. I have now developed a sore throat and headache, but am hoping it will be gone by the morning.

I am coaching my hubby thro a nightmare kitchen set up at his work. He loves the owners the work and the food. I wrote his statement for him and he read it and his conccerns were what if others find out. I said to him a statement proves its serious and you want action, from your bosses point of view once they have that they can sort the problems and in theory I said to him a good HR policy will mean repercussions would also be dealt with harshly.
The same for you if you get ANY back chat or feel they know and are making life hard send another email and explain how tough it is. You have rights and they have to protect you.

Well done for doing as I know my hubby this morning was wiped out by doing it all but things are reaching a serious breach of safety so he has to speak up.

Well done with getting this far with the complaints procedure, not easy I know. Go in today with your head held high, and just remember, you have done nothing wrong, and if this man has done this to you, he can do this to a much weaker person who won’t feel able to stand up for themselves. I wanted to be the whistle blower at a previous employment. Thing is the boss mixed with the staff in and away from work so it was impossible.Wish you well.Hope it doesn't get too uncomfortable that's forces you to leave 🙂
Well done making a complaint. Don’t ever feel that any of it was your fault. No one should ever get away with bullying which in your case was what it was. You have rights and as others have said hold your head up high you haven’t done anything wrong and whether the managers stick together or are friends outside of working hours you still have rights and it’s deplorable what happened to you. At the very least you deserve an apology. I’ve been in a similar situation and my manager was also my ex brother in law my sister was going through a divorce at the time and I got the brunt although I never took sides. It’s tough when you’re in that situation particularly when everyone you work with thinks your a spy for the boss haha. In my case I had to threaten legal action as I found that a reference I had asked for was totally inflammatory and absolutely disgusting and untrue. Luckily in my case I got the new job I was after but I got a cardboard box put all my stuff in it and walked out with a promise if my reference wasn’t amended I would take them to court. I later learned it was supposedly done as he wanted me to stay as I was such a great member of staff. Haven’t spoken to the guy since. Hope everything is ok when you go back you deserve better.
I hope your day turned out better than you were expecting Carolsos. The guy behaved absolutely abominably. It’s horrible when you are the person who is in the right and are being bullied. I hope the managers realise you could go to an employment tribunal over this. Makes you wonder if you are the only person he has bullied?
Hi there, I spoke to my restaurant manager today and explained what had been going on. She reassured me that she is not friends with Michael the guy that has caused all the problems. I actually broke down crying talking about it as it's been so stressful! I said I had sent an email to another boss about what had been happening. I am so pkeas dvto finally speak to her. I was talking about Michael and that we have had a lot of run in and she said document everything from now on, which I will be doing. I sent her an email and put some add ons from the last email. He has been bullying other people. I said I want it to go further than in-house else he would not stop! The outcome I would like is him sacked, but don't think that is going to happen! Disciplined would be a good second! I think I now am having a flare over all of this. So much pain. A good thing is I am seeing my Ra consultant on Thursday and should be able to get a steroid shot now. Take care guys
So glad you had the time to talk it out and tears is probably the relief in expressing how bad the situation was and is. Try to let some of that stress go and breathe and chill and huge well done as it hard to report someone x
