I miss:

Lunching, coffee or afternoon tea with friends

Visiting my extended family and friends in England

Random shopping trips

Friends and family visiting me - I love playing host and showing off this beautiful part of the world

Looking forward to the time when the above can freely happen again.

I’m trying mot to miss things as it would drag me down too much.....but now nearly a year since we’ve seen family and unlikely to be possible before next year now. Zoom just isn’t the same.

I agree. Shielding is harder than social distancing too. Miss my kids staying over so much and I can see their pain. I miss going to gigs so much and the face wax woman !!

All of the above and especially human contact with friends and family.

Plus playing bridge and tutoring students f2f , mooching around my favourite shops and my aqua fit classes.

I feel sad that I haven't been able to visit my brother-in-law and sister-in-law who both live alone. We are quite close and although they have their own families and we talk every week, it's just not the same as a visit and a hug.

Like HH I can't let myself think about what I'm missing most. I'm already feeling down enough. Just keep plodding on and doing the job in front of me

Yes I'm focusing on there here and now which is the best way I am able to deal with this. I have hopes but am not looking too far ahead at the moment and as you say I too am just plodding on.

I’m a tactile person I miss a hug and a squeeze 🥺

I miss faces. You can tell a lot from a person's fizzog.🤣😜😆😟☺️😮😡

I miss my husband - he has been stuck in Saudi Arabia where they closed the borders and suspended all flights in March. They have just reinstated international flights so fingers crossed he will get home for Christmas. But I am lucky, we have lost friends to COVID and their families will miss them forever so I feel I have no right to miss things when they have lost their lives.

Clemmie

Hugs from friends x
