NRAS notification

It has come to our attention that a company selling assistive equipment have advised a person living with RA that their products are endorsed by NRAS and that they work alongside the NHS. We are investigating this, but in the interim we wish to make the following statement.

Any products endorsed by NRAS are available on our website, we do not endorse products sold by cold calling. NRAS do not share your information with anyone other than emergency services if there is a concern for safety. Any company claiming this is acting fraudulently and we wish to be notified.

Sadly to say with this virus 'opportunities' have arisen for these people to prey or cash in on the situation and target chronically ill or vulnerable members of society. So thank you for bringing it to our attention. x

It' s a sad reflection on life today. The pfishing and scammers go to such despicable lengths to give an impression of genuine integrity that it is astonishing. I'm glad that the NRAS are aware of the misuse of their name and reputation and doing something to warn people of its misuse.
