skin problems

Does anyone have dry skin problems? I tolerate my MTX well, but since being diagnosed 3 years ago, my skin has changed from being clear to being so dry, and now I have itchy small red spots on my face. I am wondering whether it is caused by wearing a mask. I do use E45, esp on my legs, and am subject to insect bites in the summer. I have every lotion, cream and potion in my cupboard, but still it persists.

Spots maybe the mask situation . Dry skin I definitely understand. My beauty therapist ( hark at me😁) had my eyebrows done 🙄noticed my dry skin and told me to take marine collagen powder. Yes!!! It worked for me bonus hair in great condition and no fall out after washing. Bicarbonate (cup) in the bath softens the water and can help.

Yes, very similar problems. Dry skin (and hair) plus redness and small spots on cheeks - GP diagnosed Rosacea in February and it cleared with anti biotic cream but keeps flaring. Rheumatology say its nothing to do with MTX - GP says, of course its caused by the MTX!!🤷‍♀️. Sorry, I know this doesn't help you, but you're not alone!

thank you Dobcross 1, you describe it perfectly, it is curious, as It is only on one side of my face. I am off to the local pharmacy to se if they can give me something over the counter as I suspect it would be impossible to get a surgery appt

just been to Pharmacy, he says I must see a Doctor, as I also have sore irritated eyes, could be Ocular Rosacea. so a long weekend wait, so worried

Hope you get it sorted, just for info, the brand name of the cream i have is Acea.

Not sure about spots but the Mxt definitely affects the skin. Dryness and blotchiness and increase in sun damage . I’ve been given Dermol for showering and a body cream name of which name I can’t remember, but it’s still not great.
