Shielding letters

I live in Wales I had 2 letters now the latest extending shielding until August ! Get calls from the council .had funny turn a few weeks ago had paramedics out ( don’t know what it is ) not a single word from the doctors !

I've had my second shielding letter also. I only had one call from the council early on, but said that I was all organised and didn't need any help and was given a phone number and website to contact if I needed any help. I've also had phone calls from my GP practice checking on my health. I can't fault the system as it applies to me, but I'm sure that people must fall through the net.

when did you get your second letter ? Ive had one letter then a text saying I can go to work on 1st July

I've had two shielding letters. No calls from council or anyone else, but I don't need any help so not bothered. No assistance off the council from what I can gather, I think they give you the number of a volunteer group to ring .

I’ve had one shielding text and one phone call from the Gp. I had a Rheumy consultation this week. I can’t go back to work (school) will review in August and told to go out but keep to strict social distancing rules and keep this to a minimal amount. Barely worth it . My dad had 5 social bubbles so won’t meeting up with him. A lot of family and friends have large social bubbles so I’m left out. Honestly what’s the point of these bubbles when it really means people are doing their own thing 🤷🏽‍♀️

I live in wales too, i havent received any letter. I am a bit concerned as my employer wants me back in work a week monday.

Wales has admitted missing some patients your GP can give you another letter they can do it and add code 65Z infectious disease prevention .

I'm.on methotrexate, had a letter til last wk and a second letter til mid aug. But rhumie doc says no need to shield so I'm back to school a week Monday teaching!

Yes advice I was given I am just the lowest risk

Working from home anyway due to office space with distancing . Just miss a cuddle with grandkids ! Coming soon I hope x

I had initial letter from immunology after two weeks of lockdown although I’d already been in for four. Followed by a letter from rheumy two weeks later. Had a call from council early on but I don’t need their help. No contact from anyone since then and considering I’m extremely vulnerable it’s a bit pants. I did ring my GP today because I’m having a flare from hell and have no meds whatsoever so that’s not surprising. Managed to blag some steroids for three weeks although doc wanted to put me on 30mg no way I’m taking that much so agreed on 10mg for two weeks and then taper to 5mg for another week so at least that’s good short term. My rheumy appointment was cancelled 1st May no appointment rearranged and no follow up at all but I need to change my meds and need another plan god knows when that will be. 🤷‍♀️
