Sunday morning- off topic

Chilling as up so damn early today but hubby has put on songs of the 80s so reliving my club years Bowie Jagger Jackson and so many more. Reminding me of many crazy days and nights when I used to work on backstage catering at gigs.

Also off to tackle one of the cats as he has a small tear on his skin by his eye, obviously doing his battles during the night- so lets see what the damage is and if just a battle scar or a vet visit in order.

Now that will be a new thing to sort if we do need to see a vets are they open.....presume working same system as Doctors.

I am sure your pussy cat will be ok after your tender touch. xxx

typically the one that has it hates being touched UNLESS he is in the mood. So might need to get Shawn to do it as he adores him so much he acts like a dog round him, Hope you are feeling a tad better today x

Our vet is open for emergencies, they come out to your car and either examine or take away your pet if it needs treatment. Medication is posted out ( if it’s a repeat prescription).

thanks for this least I now know how it might work!

Busy start to the day!

Hope your cat is ok. Yes, a visit to the vets will be another exercise in military precision, let’s hope it’s not needed.

Love the way music can take you right back to places in time. Memories are sacred x

Aww what are our cats like. I hope you can manage the injury from home for him.

My cat is an old boy bless him and has high blood pressure for which he is on daily meds for. It must be living with me. Hehe.

My Billy cat has been to the vets for his blood pressure checks twice. I am very fortunate that our vets have a lovely taxi service to get our precious pets to them and back home.

Our vets are open but reduced hours. We understandably are not able to go into the vets but ring them when arrived and they will come and get Billy cat from the door. They treat him and then ask Pete the lovely driver to come and pick him up. Not quite sure how it works with dogs with leaving them outside the front door.

Hope your cat is okay bless him and please give him a cuddle from me.

I’m a 80’a girl with being born in 1975. x

I was a 65 girl so clubbing in the 80s was a huge factor for me just loved London at that time we had so much fun!

Our vets has a pretty good social distancing process in place. We ring them up and initially a vet rings back for a phone consultation. If the vet needs to see a pet, you go to the surgery and ring from outside. The vet comes out and either looks at the pet outside (in our case checked over our dog and walked him up and down the car park to check his legs) or takes it inside for a proper look. If you need to collect medication, you ring from outside, pay over the phone and someone brings it out to you.

Hopefully your cat won't need the vet. We had one years ago who used to get into scraps regularly and once had a badly scratched eye. In those days the treatment was to use a single (large black) stitch to hold the inner eyelid shut so that the eyeball could heal underneath; we had to apply cream to stop it drying out. He coped surprisingly well being one-eyed (though he mistimed jumps occasionally!) and everything was fine when they eventually removed the stitch. He looked really weird with it in place though 😂

Love nostalgia mornings generally a good day all round. Good luck with the crazy cat 🐈

Me too I inboxed my club girl Julia as it has reminded me of a few nights and we are laughing. What is so so funny is her daughter K is totally unconvinced we were so wild..............she always thinks we are making it up! Its funny how the next few generations always think they are the wildest.

We could teach them a thing or two 😂😂

I made k laugh I told her I still can do body popping - its a bed form as I wake up trying to get up is like me doing the worm or snake flailing around!

Let's hope it's something that doesn't need anything and will heal itself......as I'm not sure how the logistics works with vets and social distancing. Can you imagine the scene presenting at the vets with said pet in say a long fishing net to observe the 2 metre rule. I mean how else could you or a vet not have contact as it's not like us going to the doctors. Generally we are predictable and don't tend to scurry round the room, tussle with the doctor on examination or leave messages in the consultation room! But with our dear little chums anything can happen can't it, so fingers crossed things will be ok. I had two cats outside last night in a stand off yowling and crying at each other and when I went out to 'break it up' so to speak the looks I got from them as they reluctantly moved on. How very dare you interupt our brawl!! Take care and enjoy the music too x

I hope you manage to get a vet to see your cat.

I've been listening a lot to spotify since lockdown. I'm really enjoying the music, it really cheers me up every day.
