Taken off my arthritis meds

Iv been taken off my arthritis meds before my knee op I seen my rheumatoid nurse before my op and she said after your op you will have to come and see me to try another medication well because of this virus I’m living on painkillers and very painful swollen joints I have tried phoning my gp no answer and the rheumatoid apartment ???? I give up ????

Please don’t give up, keep calling your rheumatology helpline and make sure you leave a message with all your details so they can call you back. I don’t know why your GP surgery isn’t answering because they should be. I know this may sound silly but have you checked the phone number is correct? My surgery changed the number for calling the nurse without informing the patients other than a sign in the surgery! Keep calling for help, don’t give up.

I had to come off Ty biologic, but not the MTX. The consultant was furious that the hospital told me to come off that as well. Keep trying to get clarification. Good luck.

I have been given an email address to contact my Rheumatology dept. It might be worth trying to search your hospital website.

My department is opened foor days at the moment so you might have been calling on a closed day. Try different days but keep trying .

I only had to stop biological but not the methotrexate or hydrochloquine before a knee op. I'd try and get that clarified x
