Personally no I would not . They could touch a fence or gate on the way to you and pick up the virus.

They may even pass it to others .

I think we should before this peak stay in, protect each other.

A hug is not worth the risk I think xxx

But sending you love and virtual hugs xxx

Hard though I know , cant wait to see my kids again buy 12 weeks shielding takea us to minimum of june .... I've just made up my mind it's best I don't catch it and end up in hospital so I'll need to wait on the hugs a bit longer xxx

And kids can be carriers without knowing it. If you are vulnerable, stay safe.

It's so hard for us all at the moment but as I understand we haven't reached the peak of this virus yet and the measure is still Stay Home, protect lives and save our NHS. Just think when you do see your kids how much more special those hugs will be and focus on this as it is not worth the risk now for you and others. Take care and sending some supportive wishes in such difficult times x

I know it's hard but if I was you I wouldn't. Just keep safe, I've told my grandchildren that when it's all over we're going to have one almighty party. x

No!

We are all supposed to stay in our own homes ...only go out for essential shopping, or to exercise...& not go within 2 metres of anyone we don’t live with ...& if shielding not leave home at all.

Have you not read people are not even allowed to go to a loved one’s funeral....in case they are a carrier.

You don’t know if you or your kids are carriers...lots of people are & have no symptoms ..that is one if the reasons why CV19 is so dangerous .

Morning please stay away I have 4 beautiful grandchildren and like a lot of you on here have received the letter telling us not to go anywhere. I am staying away as much as it hurts. My mum has covid and has been in hospital for 11 days she is fighting this awful virus, the hardest thing is talking to my dad on the phone daily, he is on his own cannot contact mum it’s a nightmare as under normal circumstances the family would be at the hospital taking it in turns to stay by mums side whilst supporting and comforting Dad. Stay in and stay safe until this awful nightmare is over. Bouncy castle in garden on hold can’t wait for the day I can give all my family and friends a big hug 🤗 thanks for reading take care all xx

Terrible situation for you and your family. One of the hardest things must be not being allowed to visit and comfort dear ones when they most need us. Best wishes.

In would love too but both of my girls are nurses and never know if they have been in contact with it plus they would not let me... We have a weekly walk by the window I sit indoors and they play in the front garden.. Just so I can see them all xx

No. We have to consider each of us is in a household unit. Maybe alone or with others, but we must not meet or mix with any other household units irrespective if they are friends or family. It's tough, but our strength of character and care for humanity will help us through.

Another way to look at the situation, if we live average 85 years that's 4,441 weeks. 12 weeks is not so long in this context 0.3%

We have 4 kids, 4 grandkids including the latest born 17 January this year, so we are missing so much, but would rather we and the kids are safe.

Good luck and look forward to that hug in a couple of months.

No.

You would be breaching government guidelines.

Hard as it is, the rules apply to everyone, no exceptions.

We are all in it together 🌹🥀🌺
