The links not working for me.

Sorry Ruth, it's the only link I have.

Only thing I can think of is to go into the British Lung Foundation Group and directly link from o2trees' post.

I will do that. Thankyou.

helixhelix, I would tend to agree with you regarding cancelling the worker. Depends on how desperate you are for work to be done, but if that is his opinion it would reallt concern me.

Hope you get it sorted. 🌈

Yes, I think the Gov’t will have a lot to answer for. But sadly they’ll blame it on someone or something else. But at least UK doesn't have Trump, as that sounds worse.

I am am having some work done by a man in Spain. I was talking to him last night and asking if he was ok as Spain sounds bad. He made a shrugging sound and said it was a lot of fuss about nothing. I ended the conversation quickly. But I am sorely tempted to say I no longer want him to do the work, and I’ll find someone else!

Some folk underplay their concern, helixhelix, whilst others are as much in the dark as we are with our govt handing out info peacemeal.

Luckily, I get my info directly from the govt email outlet, so receive it firsthand, instead of from media soundbites.

I maybe incredibly stupid...but if Aldi,Tesco,Asda etc can manage to have vans on the road delivering food et cetera to all their stores .....why can’t the government still manage to deliver all this PPE equipment .....which they say they have ready to go....to the frontline NHS staff who are risking their lives looking after people with CV19?

Does the Gov email outlet put out any info on that DB?

dembonesDAMNBONES profile image
dembonesDAMNBONES in reply to AgedCrone

Same old garbage, ie, they have it under control, which runs contrary to what front line staff say and I'll believe NHS workers over the govt every time.

dembonesDAMNBONES profile image
dembonesDAMNBONES in reply to dembonesDAMNBONES

A quick update, AgedCrone, a special task force is being set up to distribute PPE to NHS staff.

About bloody time!

The government's hired boffins seem to be the obvious choice to pass the buck to. I think if things went wrong then the government have had them lined up to take the blame from the start.

As for Trump, he's a complete nutcase! :-O The president of Brazil is a right one too! :-(

Strangely, Bolsonaro has taken the same original stance as TrumPAEDO on Hydroxychloroquine being the cure for the virus.

So much so that India, the major producer, banned exports of the drugs just under a fortnight ago!

It's efficacy has been denied by Wastemonster, but I've yet to see any results of clinical trials carried out in the UK that would justify taking this line.

Not heard about India banning drug exports...that is not good news!

No doubt Bolsonaro is quick to follow Trump's example to try and reassure the masses that they'll recover just fine with the help of hydroxychloroquine the wonder drug!

It makes me wonder what we might not be being told?!

I'm part of a govt consulting group and make no bones about my dissatisfaction with their overall response to the crisis.

Bit by bit, as I'm sure I'm not the only one, I'm seeing their reaction become more positive, such as how particular police forces are implementing the new laws, eg, who has taken a more gentle approach, as opposed to those that just arrest anyone infringing, or updating the list of folk, such as ourselves, taking autoimmune suppressants, thereby leaving us more vulnerable, however, that's still a far stretch from the govt giving up to date info, as and when new policy is decided directly to the public, which is what I'm pushing for constantly.

Obviously, we, the consulting group, aren't being told everything and, doubtless, we're monitored, but as I keep pointing out, if they want public trust in their chosen course they have to open up and let us know what they're thinking and how they reach their conclusions.

I can't see that happening, but I am seeing small, incremental changes to their approach.

I guess that's as good as it's going to get for now.

Stay safe, bro!

To quote a line from a Lou Reed song..."don't believe half of what you see and none of what you hear" Jeez it's no wonder I'm such a cynical sod listening to stuff like that! :-O ;-)

You stay safe too.

I'm pretty sure I read that India were responsible for the shortage of Paracetamol too leading to fears of global shortage - Guardian 4 March.

dembonesDAMNBONES profile image
dembonesDAMNBONES in reply to springcross

Yeah, that's correct.

There's one other drug they're holding back on, too, but I can't recall it's name.

I only mentioned hydroxychloroquine, because some of us are prescribed it for RA.

springcross profile image
springcross in reply to dembonesDAMNBONES

I mentioned Paracetamol because my husband has taken it for over twenty years every day and we couldn't get any anywhere - ended up going to GP for it.

It seems to me that Trump has some mental issues and I am not saying that to be unkind.

dembonesDAMNBONES in reply to springcross

He is insane, basically.

He was stripped of two honorary Scottish University titles, following press coverage of his henchmen terrorising an OAP owner of a small tact of land into selling up.

Incidently, one of his courses in Scotland is in the red, owing millions in taxes and rates, even though he was granted three years with no taxes.

He claims it runs at a loss to the tax office, yet brags, in America, how much it pulls in.

Businesswise, he still has his wits about him, but not, sadly, overall.

First paragraph - I think you are probably right!

Second para - Bloody good job!

Reap what you sow I say.

dembonesDAMNBONES profile image
dembonesDAMNBONES in reply to springcross

I don't like him one bit and have delved into his background in quite some depth.

Besides being a paedo, he's a thoroughly unpleasant character.

Prior to entering the political arena he was an out and out narcissist.

Now he's gone well over the edge and is a full blown psychopath with requisite power!

Dangerous doesn't begin to describe him.

springcross profile image
springcross in reply to dembonesDAMNBONES

You are not alone there about not liking him one little bit. I think he's a bit of a laughing stock around the world. I know he was a mate of Jeffrey Epstein and yes, he is thoroughly unpleasant and narcissistic.

dembonesDAMNBONES profile image
dembonesDAMNBONES in reply to springcross

He's the new broom, selected by the zionists to run the Corporation.

Killary, Bill and the others became disloyal, stealing trillions upon trillions from the bosses, or she'd have been promoted to the plum job.

He says he's hard done by in America's press, but that's because it's mostly owned by other disloyal, ex members of the gang.

They're all cut from the same cloth.

springcross profile image
springcross in reply to dembonesDAMNBONES

Also, he doesn't like being confronted with the truth.

dembonesDAMNBONES profile image
dembonesDAMNBONES in reply to springcross

Narcissists never do.

The consequences would be cognitive dissonance and that would utterly destroy them!

Grim reading 🥺 but not surprised the only ones who don’t believe this or choose to ignore this run the country

It's not in the govt self interest or image to have their flaws and shortcomings highlighted.

Politics is the perfect career for the incompetent to flourish.
