Good morning everyone. Try to stay positive. Too much worrying is as bad for our health as anything. I am looking out of the window. The sun is shining and blue tits and great tits are busy flying in and out of the nest boxes. I will be planting more seeds today and generally trying to keep busy. Sending virtual hugs and best wishes to you all. Follow all advice and keep safe.

Spring is here
Thank you Sheila for this cheery post. Yes I think the garden is a hive of activity at the moment with flowers and trees blooming and the birds busily gathering materials or sussing out nesting boxes, some still trying to find a partner even. It's a lovely sunny day here but a bit on the chilly side too. Take care x
Same year it's cold but bright and turned off the news. I'm doing a quick browse then down to shed to repot geraniums and plant lettuce, etc. I must say I like the seed catalogues and it seems more patriotic this year to grow our own and borders might contain carrots and cabbages instead of annuals.
Thank you for your kind wishes Sheila. We have blue tits nesting in our bird box for the first time in years. We've also got lots of lively sparrows keeping me entertained with their antics. One in particular keeps sitting on the door handle waiting for bits of bread. Every morning I wake up to the birds in the trees outside my bedroom window. One robin even started up at 3.15 am! Hopefully with the better weather I can start tidying and planting up the garden. It all helps to keep me cheerful but underneath I am very worried for all of us.
Stay safe, and look after yourselves everyone.
