Should people with RA be self isolating. Not sure wha... - NRAS
Should people with RA be self isolating. Not sure what to do. I have no symptoms and would like to go into work as opposed to home working.
Have you checked the NRAS information?
I think at the moment it is up to our own discretion.
My self and other colleagues who have a health condition or need a flu jab yearly, have been told to stay away from work for up to 12 weeks but it will be monitored. It’s at our own risk if we go into work, we’re public facing and unable to work from home, like you though I would go into work if I could but health and safety come first! Good luck and stay well, can always check with your Employer too.
Overall if your work will allow home working then I would do so.
Otherwise if you are under 70, in general good health, not overweight (that is a risk factor), don’t have heart or lung disease, diabetes or asthma then I think it’s your decision.
If your answer is no to any of the above then stay at home if you can.
A lot of Employers are taking the government advice of anyone that is called to have a flu jab too, which includes a lot more conditions. Always best to check your own situation with your employer or heath professional.
I would really hope employers would be encouraging people to work at home now. And soon they may not have a choice...
We can’t work from home unless they give us all an encrypted laptop..which won’t happen! I feel for the rest of my colleagues who are working and still providing a service..but I’m sure they will put things in place for them. Hats off to everyone still working as they have to and keeping the country going! 👏🥊
we don't have the virus where I live but the doctors called to say I needed to self isolate
