Hi all - I hope everyone is keeping well and managing to get enough supplies while you’re in isolation. This situation is really bringing out the best and the worst in people and my goodness there are some selfish people out there. It almost makes me ashamed to be human and then I get a call from someone who cares or hear about acts of kindness and my faith is restored a little.
On an unrelated topic I read something today called The Spoon Theory that can help our loved ones understand the level of struggle we experience day to day. I’m sure lots of you already know about it but I’m sure that, like me, others haven’t and might find it very useful.
Keep well everyone and stay safe

Yes it certainly brings out the good in respect of acts of kindness and support to others, people rallying round helping family, friends, neighbours and strangers. Then there is the ugly and dark side of some in our community who are out to get all they can without a thought to fellow humans, then exploitation of those in need and the vulnerable, which is vile. Hopefully the good outweighs the bad and in such uncertain times ahead people will keep on supporting and being kind to others in their time of need. Keep safe and keep well, sending good wishes to you.
I use the spoons theory often to help people understand why I can't do more things in a day and have to plan ahead. Otherwise they seem baffled (and sometimes offended) when I say, no I already have two things on that day I can't manage three.
Hi old timer - I’ve never seen it before but while I have very understanding friends I don’t generally feel I’m explaining things very well and they don’t quite get it. Why would they? You can’t know how difficult it is unless you live with it. I do have one friend though who went through a couple of months of illness who said ‘I get now how it is for you and I don’t know how you haven’t killed someone’. 😂. Good job we don’t see it quite like that isn’t it?
