Hiya, could anyone share their experiences of swapping biologics and the time that you had to wait before recieving a delivery.
I'm changing from benepali to imraldi. I had the go ahead at the end of Jan and I'm still waiting. I had a very long wait to start Benepali but thought that was just a one off but now I'm thinking it's gonna take a very long time again
I'm spiralling downwards with this pain.

They are all different. When I changed from Enbrel inj to Rituximab infusion had to be clear for a month...then had the first infusion. I had unbearable pain was back in a wheelchair. These drugs take a while to work unfortunately. My doctor gave me a steroid inj but that didnt touch the surface so rang the RA nurse and they gave me iv steroid over three days which sorted me out. When that wore off, the drug took over and it works. Dont suffer....tell them. Take care
In my experience it seems to take at least 6 months between me saying that one drug isn't working to getting another. Sometimes longer. Mainly I think down to appointment waiting times.
But, as others have said, if I call the rheumatology call back service I can normally get some steroids within a week or so. Call your rheumatology team. They should be able to help patch you over.
