Wow that looks sore xxx
That's a bomper!...South Wales term for 'that's a big one!'
Mine is smaller and looks a little different. It is actually two lumps, one fairly big with a small one next to it. Reckon it's probably just two sacks of synovial fluid like my rheumy thinks. Any idea how such things form...is it synovial fluid coming from adjacent joints or what?
Thanks for posting the photos.
I was told that there is a a little hole and the synovial fluid leaked out . Started small and was told to leave it and boy did it grow. They couldn’t repair the hole as there are too many nerves in the area and could make things work. They removed the fluid but said it would be temporary and would come back. 2 years on it’s just started to fill up again will need to wear a splint awaiting appointment at the hand clinic
That's interesting, thanks J1. Meant to ask if it could come back, 2+ years is not too bad though.
I've had mine for what must be getting on 3 years now. Other than the little one forming, it hasn't changed much in the last 2 years.
Forgot to say the pressure from wrist splints does help when it flares.
