Baricitnib

I heard I am going to start this new medication. At moment I am on holiday in Portugal and the warmth has helped greatly as not on any treatment other than I. M depro injection mid January.

My question is who delivers this medication as HAH used to deliver my Enbrel. Obviously I have not seen any of my post since 12th Feb to get updates. So hence asking this community. Thank you.

My OH gets it from the hospital. 3 months supply.

I phone the rheumy secretary when I'm down to 2 weeks supply of tablets. She posts me a prescription for 2 months supply, which I hand in at my pharmacy.

Oh.. I was told too expensive to get from pharmacy and it would be delivered. Now I am confused. But thank you

I was prescibed just one month's supply for the first couple of months to avoid expensive tablets going to waste if they did not have the desired effect.

I think some people get it through the letterbox from Healthcare at Home. I guess all hospitals have to work out the cheapest method! Hope you find out soon and that it works for you. Awarded top marks by my OH. Everyone is different but I hope it works well for you.

I used to work in healthcare but can't think what you mean by OH. Can only think occupational health. Perhaps you can enlighten me. TY.

I'm in Scotland, it is Lloyds Homecare that deliver to my house, they have been excellent. They chased up a confused prescription from the rheumatology dept and still got baricitinib to me with a week to spare.

I collect mine from the hospital, I ring the Rhumatology nurse when I’ve only two weeks supply left and she send a prescription to the pharmacy department in the hospital who then rings me when it’s ready to collect. 🤗x

I am away at the moment. HAH used to deliver my Enbrel but I stopped using this last November due to having two serious problems. So hence asking the question about Baricitinib as saw Consultant before going on holiday who said they would start me on it but only said it would be delivered d but not how etc. I am still away so in the dark.

Hi I've been on baricitinib a week and it gets delivered by Lloyd's pharmacy They sent me 3 months supply

I have found out Lloyd's deliver but I need up to date bloods including a lipid screen before the prescription is given out.
