Bad start to the day

Woke up with cracking headache whcih seems to be my new thing but maybe as now almost off cocodomol a side effect replaced with strong paracetamol. Staggered or bounced off walls downstairs had bose bleed. Got showered bawled my eys out then had another mini nose bleed.

My body says stay home but I also know short staffed and needed at work as no other manager in so need to go to open up and try to get manager to cover me so I can come home.

Oh Dee poor you . This bloody disease just when you think things are just starting to improve.. bang something else is thrown at you. Headaches can be a side effect of methotrexate but as you’ve come of cocodomol as well you won’t know which is causing the problem. Are you prone to nose bleeds? Or is this something new? If it’s new best contact your team/clinic. Hope your day improves xx

Oh do take care, in my experience I got no medals for loyalty and kept soldiering on, at a cost to myself as once I went off sick I was basically abandoned. I hope you can get someone to cover and you can attend to your health which is number one priority. Take care

Hi Deeb,

I've been following your story for a while as your determination to work is outstanding BUT, the combination of nose bleeds and now a head ache need to be taken seriously and, I think you should be much kinder to yourself. You wouldn't expect another member of staff to struggle into work. Like others have said, please get some rest and put yourself first - it's an awful disease to cope with, both mentally and physically, so be kinder to yourself and expect kindness from others. I'm concerned for you.
