Humira! Hooray!

I don’t normally post anything but I felt I had to write this. I was taken off Humira and put on Imraldi (to save the NHS money - which I was more than happy to do). For the last 8 months I’ve experienced some unpleasant side effects but my Rheumatology nurse was brilliant and recommended that I go back on to Humira & my consultant agreed. Tonight I’ve just had my Humira - all done pain free (not like the Imraldi which was so bloody painful to administer). I hope you don’t mind me sharing good news, you just have to find the good in some situations.

There are a lot of really good rheumy staff helping us out....you just have to be lucky & find them....glad you did & told us.

Hope all continues to go well😇

Thank you. To be honest I was expecting the consultant to say no as she can be awkward

I stayed on Rituximab when my hospital was starting to introduce Truxima .

The hospital told us if we didn’t want to switch, to call the rheumatology pharmacist....She asked a few questions & said I could reman on Rtx.

I think there is usually a way to sort things out if you just ask calmly.

I was told first off “you don’t have a choice”. Unfortunately she is a very difficult woman but I’ve learnt over the years how to interact with her.

Shame - can you try something else too? I had an awful rash across my tummy as well

Hope Humira works well for you second time around. I had a similar experience with Enbrel > benepali>enbrel but it was never as good the second time. I'm still trying g to find something else that works 3 years later!
