Stress stress stress, this month my daughter gave birth 3 months early, my car caught fire in the work carpark on Friday and now the insurance might not pay because it's an electrical fire!!!

I am having the worst flare ever!! Still things can only get better!! 😬😂😂

Stress.... it’s nearly always stress with me... but you can’t completely eliminate it. x

Oh anything can trigger as others have said stress, sudden change in the weather(humidity especially for me) over doing things physically (cleaning, walking etc) travelling and for no reason at all. We are all different and triggers are individual

So I guess it's just a case of learning over time ?? I can't think of any triggers at all for me ! But if stress is one I'm doomed ! X

I keep a diary of what I think has triggered something off.... but sometimes I can do the same things and no problem then bang!!! This disease is so unpredictable x

Hi, definitely stress and emotional upset.

I also noticed that I get problems with fizzy drinks so cut them out completely.

I had a gin & tonic recently then suffered for it 😒 I blame the fizzy tonic! There may be other dietary things you notice by trial and error that can set it off 🙄

yes, processed foods like pepperoni, and chorizio can cause pain in a couple of hours. And stress

Stress but as Lyndy said not much that you can do about that. Travel & extreme weather. I’ve never found food/drink has any effect on my condition. Although I do have a healthy lifestyle & always have had.

I have found that if I’m unwell 🤧 my joints love to join in. Trail & error.

Agree with stress. I was in remission but now in a two month flare. All due to stress. I’ve stepped out of running my business for a while to hopefully ease it. Even had to cancel a trip to Crete with friends.

It’s a strange disease,

I get flares when I’m sleeping badly. If I only get 3/4 hours sleep for a few nights, I generally end up suffering

Hi cpr02, stress and abusing your body (doing too much) may cause flairs. A very goo source of information about flares and everything else about RA is on the NRAS website. If you haven't already done so, please take some time and have a look. It will be well worth it! All he very best.

Travelling and sudden changes in weather/humidity/air pressure do it for me .Also if I'm in a draught so that one joint (eg neck or shoulder is colder than the rest of me)

Can't find any connection with food/drink, though I generally have a healthy mostly veg diet anyway by preference.

And sometimes there's no rhyme or reason at all, just spiteful fate !
