Hi,

When in town today I saw a notice on Agos’ window advertising the Sunflower lanyard scheme. I’d never hear of it before and didn’t need it today but it might be of use at some point. Details about.sainsburys.co.uk/news...

All the best

Good on Sainsbury /Asda.

Also Morrison’s /Tesco & some other supermarkets ,lower their glaring lights from9/10 am on Saturdays for those affected by glare.

Tbh... They could probably save a fortune on their electricity bill because I found my way around quite easily with only half the lights on ....it was just like normal outside daylight.

Interesting! Do Sainsbury's lower theirs? I fancy ours doesn't. I have Menieres and find glare difficult.

Try Googling somethings like ‘which supermarkets are lowering lights”...or ask NRAS ....they should know.

Brilliant. I hope lots of people will make use of it.

A friend sent me a link about it a few weeks back. I ordered a lanyard and badge and they arrived yesterday. I haven't used them yet, but mean to do so when needed. Apparently airports and some other places are also aware of them. I just hope that people who don't need them don't start buying them and using them to get help. I know that some able-bodied people now buy radar keys so that they can use disabled toilets and get in without queuing.

That’s so sad to hear. A relative who is only 22 has one, she has crohn’s , but gets so worried about using it. Our Sainsbury’s has had signs on their disabled toilets for some time now referring to hidden disabilities. So good for them. X
