I've had RA for years now. High RA factor and inflammation off the charts. Tried hydroxyicloriquine for 6 years. I have increasing weakness and muscle deterioration. Cannot raise my arms.
No joint involvement at all. Stomach stiffens and makes it hard to breath. Muscle biopsy shows inflammation. Bone marrow shows abnormal cells so I cannot try biologics. Does anyone else have these symptoms instead of joint involvement?

Have you been diagnosed with anything in addition to RA? You sound very unwell and you need a proper diagnosis and treatment for whatever you have. Take care.
They have looked for other problems but say the Ra is attacking the muscles. Not a typical presentation. I have not heard of this before so was checking here to see if it was more common than I thought
