There was a post on here a while ago about toothpaste tubes and toothbrushes being non recyclable and someone asked about wooden toothbrushes. Well here we go. Just had this through from my profession account.

As for toothpaste tubes, when I was a child, I remember having a tin of toothpase in cake form. I wet the toothbrush and brushed it on the paste. Can you still get tins of toothpaste I wonder?

Are you sure it wasn’t Ajax? 😂😂😂

Very funny. It was a flat tin not a tall tin. I've just found a picture of it, I'll try and post it.

You can buy tooth pastes in tins but they tend to be quite abrasive, more for stain cleaning off dentures. Which is actually not good for them either!

It was called Gibbs dentifrice and came in 2 flavours, green mint and a pink clove taste. I’m nearly 72, you have to be old to remember 😂😂😂. Think it ceased production in the 1960’s xx

I think there is a smoker's toothpaste in a tin.

Yes it's called Eucryl, my dad used to use it, pink powder with a funny taste. It's still available.

Yes that's the one pink and a funny taste! A friend's mum used it years ago. Memories, thanks.
