Yet another infection on Benepali :(

Hello Everyone, I hope that even with the change of weather ( in the U.K ) is feel alright and that life os generally well .

I'm on Benepali after failed DMARDS and Cimzia . I wrote a post not long after I started in Benepali because I came down with a virus . Since then I've had two more in the space of six weeks and now I have viral pneumonia and pleurisy and asthma not to mention an RA flare . Bless its cotton socks . Actually it feels like a boxing glove it hurts so bad .

As a result I'm having to lay off the Benepali for this week until I feel better and was told to up the steroids for five days due to the inflammation in my chest.

I will have to let the rheumatology team know as they said they needed to monitor me more closely with all the infections .

I'm feeling pretty rough but wondering how long I'll be on Benepali for to be honest as I'm so stop / start with it I think I've only had a a couple of consecutive weeks on it since June whe. I first went on it .

The thing is I have been reacting to all sorts of medication and they have been struggling to find one that I can take. I have a feeling they will give up on me and say get on with it without meds. .

I think I have a review end of October . I'm going to give it till then and see what happens .im just hoping they won't pull the plug before then .

Thanks for listening I just needed to share this as I know lots of you understand this interesting roller coaster of RA!

You sound like me

Have bronchiectasis have had 4 lots of antibiotics last 3 months. My RA is not good as told to stop medication while infection is treated.

Can't get a respiratory appointment GP not prescibing as requested by respiratory specialist.

I'm currently waiting at Rhuematlogy for nurse appointment.

Hugs sounds like you are struggling. I wish I could offer you some glimmer of hope, but sadly I can't.xxxxx
