Cryotherapy and ice baths.........has anyone done this as part of trying to reduce inflammation when bad? To just feel better for a small period of time?

I know but I know I did after my knee op 10years ago and if I recall it helped but brain cant remember so seeing if anyone has done it recently and what experience was.
Well I do put ice packs on my endless flaring wrists each morning & it does seem to help a little. I think my way is cheaper!!!
