Having severe pain for 3 weeks. The pain is in my heel. One doctor stated plantar fasciitis. Finally one decided per another set of X-ray I had a stress fracture with my calcaneus. Has anyone else had stress fractures and what did you do and how long does it take to heal? Thanks

Stress fracture
I have no experience, but that sounds like a big ouch! Hope you get some answers, cheers Deb
Yes, I was diagnosed with plantar fasciitis and given physio ansd spent a lot on shoes. I reported to the GP 3 times over the next 10 months that it was no better and the symptons were not that of fasciitis, and it really hurt, but was told to be patient.
To cut a long story short eventually helped by rheumatologist and found I had dead bone in that ankle, some arthritis and had had a broken heel which was healing so no treatment except for insoles for shoes.
This was a year ago. Still have discomfort, but not the pain I had. I don't think the discomfort is caused by the fracture now. Good luck!
I had a stress fracture in my 2nd metatarsal which took a long time to heal. During the investigations the Orthopedic Doctor said I needed insoles to straighten my hair and then the fracture would heal quicker. So insoles were provided and he was right because it healed very quickly after that . I now have insoles in all my shoes .
This predictive text is daft. Where it says hair it should say gait. Lol.
