Travelling abroad with meds

Hi. I’m travelling abroad in the summer and need to take 2 benepali injections away with me. Haven’t done this before so could anyone advise how best to transport them? Do they have to go in hand luggage or in the hold? Thanks.

They must go in your hand luggage, the hold is far too cold. You need to get a letter from whoever supplies them to you - GP, healthcare at home, whatever. And for two weeks you just need to keep them below 25 degrees, so just get a simple cool pouch or similar that will fit the pens in the original packaging. And then you can put the used pens in it to bring them home. They can go through airport scanners, even if the letter says not.

Have a good holiday!

Hi they must go into your hand baggage also make sure you get a letter from the hospital or GP stating that you use this medication, but they proberly will not ask to see it at the airport as I have been going abroad with metropen for a few years and have never been asked to show a letter but better to be safe than sorry, X
