Hi guys I'm diagnosed with rumotoid arthritis and I'm a little bit concerned now I'm due my pip review next year and last year I convinced my partner with being rewarded the higher rate mobility to go for a car as our old car broke down he was very reluctant as our old car was brought for us as a gift from his parents I'm now worrying as I have touch wood not had a flare up for a year and half the odd pain and pins and needles but no major flare as I'm on benapeli injections and hydo and lufidimyd medication I'm worrying my self to death now that I'll lose my award and the car we have as I don't drive my partner is my life line and the car is our lifeline to hospitals I also am still trying to work two night a week's insight work better for me as I can get more rest on nights just wondering if anyone else is similar or can reassure me in any way

It’s probably not much help as I can’t reassure you that you will still qualify for higher rate mobility but I would stop worrying about what might happen next year. It’s a long time to stress yourself over something that might not happen. Worry about it if it happens and enjoy your new found mobility until then. I would look at the positives in that you have better mobility and aren’t having flares which in turn means you feel better and can do more for yourself which are all good things. If the worst comes to the worst then you can always get a cheap small car or use taxis to hospital. Life is too short to be stressing about something you can’t control (saying this as a worrier myself) I started stressing about my PIP review soon after I received my award which is daft really. I try not to think about it now, it’ll come and I will handle it when it does. I hope this isn’t sounding insensitive as it’s not meant to be x

You are right and I know your comments are right. Also coming from another worrier. Stress is not good for us and for our arthritis.

I know you made me think about what you said and we all got to take ONE DAY AT A TIME. 👍👍

Sorry about your diagnosis. It's not a nice feeling and knowing there's no cure can be tough to take. You know something, we

have to stay and be strong and take one day at a time.
