There is marmite in a squeezy but some say doesn't taste the same.🙁

AgedCrone profile image
AgedCrone in reply to Pulfs

Yes I bought the squeezy jar ..but even keeping it at room temperature the plastic is so hard I can'squeeze it out! But I think it does taste the same ......after I have trodden on it!

But basically it's still the "gadget" to get at the contents!

If they can put mustard in a tube...why not Marmite?

I 'll look on Amazon!

I remember sitting by Wally Weekes memorial pool on Bondi Beach eating cheese, lettuce & Marmite sandwiched in an horrendous thunderstorm.....even tasted good with soggy bread.

Hope the ankle progresses well.

True but, since I bought an 'Undo It' gadget, jars or bottles aren't a problem anymore.

daisychains58 profile image
daisychains58 in reply to Gnarli

I tap it until it pops. .. just not on a stone bench 😉 works for me usually. There is a small groove in the lid on most jars.

Gnarli profile image
Gnarli in reply to daisychains58

I have been known to batter a bovril jar on a chopping board to help free the lid but was finding my wrists started to complain

daisychains58 profile image
daisychains58 in reply to Gnarli

Yes i need to look into these magic jar openers ..ill goggle them 😊 guess some are better than others. ..do tell. Thx

The 'Undo It' was recommended by the Occupational Therapist I saw recently. Basically a triangular metal thing with a raised edge and lined with non-slip rubber. Attached to the underside of a shelf it works well for us

OMG, it is like indeed and it’s so expensive. I was given mine by the occupational therapist. However I’ve bought one for a friend from eBay, she loves it. They are for sale there for under £10. Sorry I can’t figure out how to share the eBay link.
