Kenalog

Help (again)! Had a Kenalog injection yesterday at 1pm. Had another night of excruciating pain and spent most of the day dozing, with stiff and painful arms and legs.

Was this to have been expected? Will I stop hurting soon?

Maybe take a day or two to start feeling the benefit, I got one 2 weeks ago and was the same after a couple off days it started to work

This is the absolute worst period......my mental image of it is that your disease is like a new puppy right now. Totally untrained, very excited about having a new body to explore and just rushing about and peeing in every corner. And growing fast! It is horrible feeling that your body is out of your control, as well as painful (why am I telling you that - you know it!). Especially having been put in the hands of a stupid puppy who does what it wants.

Anyway, the kenalog should kick in soon. And it really won't be like this for ever. Your rheumatologist's appointment will arrive....

If you can, try to do very gentle range of movement exercises every day (google them) to keep your joints supple. It will help in the longer term get you back to normal.
