hey my hands are sore and my thumb is killing me i havent done anything different any one else get this?

hi annie i get the same sometimes have you got some good painkillers looks you will need them try hot and cold treatment if poss hot water bottle rest on hand then frozen bag of peas or like place on hand hope it works

The base of my thumb on the palm side is now blue. Have no idea why. The whole hand is so painful. Wearing a brace. Taking cortisone. No relief 😌

Quite often find I can't identify a cause for a particular localised flare up. Again sometimes I know that I have done something stupid or had a repetitive task at work. I do try and keep small notes of what I have been doing and pain levels etc but can't really see a pattern in most of it. I guess an example would be that last week we had log delivery at home, 2 tonnes, moved them and stacked in log store and by the evening my shoulders and wrists were very painful, no real surprise there. And yes I do also get completely unexplained flares with no obvious cause.

My flares usually come for no reason at all. Sometimes after doing things, sometimes not. And I've had RD for 40 years so I should be able to spot a pattern if there was one!
