No, and I wouldn't personally spend any money on anything like that. Someone who says that "he was born with the unique ability to converse with Spirit of Compassion who provides him with extraordinarily accurate health information that’s often far ahead of its time" and has no scientific or medical qualifications doesn't give me confidence to part with hard earned money.

Yes there is some interesting work around thyroid imbalances, and the role of hormones and so on. But it is freely available on the net. Equally loads of diet information available freely if that's what interests you.

When I was first diagnosed 8 years ago I tried a number of approaches ro control my RA. None of them worked apart from conventional medicine, although they have helped me become healthier overall. A few people do find these approaches help them, but they are in the minority.

Nothing really unique about this diet, very much like many other antiinflammatory diets. The additional carbs does however support the thyroid better than the diets which restricts them.

When I experience what I call a 'white hunger' episode ( I feel faint, very hungry, sweaty, thirsty...but I'm not diabetic) the only thing that resolves it is carbohydrates.

Erm... have you delved into this man's background? Not sure I'd put my trust for the promise of better health into a clairvoyant. If we were staying in our house I might invite him to converse with our cohabitants. I'd urge you if you're seriously thinking of buying his book, or even if you aren't, to check reviews, both bad as well as good, & also ask your Rheumatologist's advice, if he would put his health in the hands of this man.

He's not medically qualified in any field yet states that "Rheumatoid arthritis and psoriatic arthritis are not autoimmune diseases, and this myth is one that needs to rectified immediately so that the millions of people who are suffering can begin to get true answers." & "It is impossible for our body to attack a single cell in our bodies."

Sorry if you're spiritually inclined but I'm not sure him 'contacting the spirit world' is the best way to treat RD & other autoimmune conditions.

I'm beginning to sound like a broken record, but if any of these diets helped RA the NHS (&NICE) would be recommending them & saving a fortune on RA drugs.

In twenty years of RA I have never met a qualified Rheumatologist who recommends a diet, they just say eat sensibly, don't smoke, keep the weight off & avoid anything you feel brings on a flare.

If you can get information on any diet promoted to help RA for free, & it doesn't have you eating really weird things washed down with even weirder liquids....there may be no harm in trying it....but if it costs a fortune & tastes awful, it is probably a cruel scam.

I find the foods that cause me flares keep changing....or I’m in denial of when to stop...😚

But I eat organic foods, a fairly clean diet, and I’m constantly swollen in joints, now feet, fingers, knees, shoulders and that area from the wrist down to the thumb whatever that is called......ordered some roll on cbd oil that is supposed to be fab so I’ll let you know. I get it on Saturday I think.

Hi Nablur.....Have you considered that it is how your particular disease affects you that is causing your multiple swellings/pains?

Before I found a drug that started to control my disease I never knew what I was going to wake up to. I spoke to my rheumatologist & he said it was highly unlikely to be the food I was eating that was causing the symptoms....they were in fact typical of uncontrolled rheumatic disease.

Why don't you take the drugs your rheumatologist is prescribing for a month & during that time eat a sensible diet that you enjoy?

For that month stop taking supplements that don't seem to be helping & try to stop fretting that anything you put in your mouth is causing your symptoms?

Tension & anxiety are often responsible for symptoms your Rheumy can't explain.

Before everybody who swears that their disease is affected by by foods

I am just making a suggestion ...not denying your findings........

Oh I totally believe it is the disease. I eat the way I do by choice, just don’t want more chemicals in my body.

I don’t take supplements and I take my meds as prescribed.

I do not think there is any longer a question of that food didn't matter in AI diseases. Research on the crosstalk between metabolism and immunity and microbiome is a very hot topic today. There are a multitude of studies and dietary recommendations from doctors, it's really too bad that the specialists in rheumatology are still so ignorant on the subject. It's not a question of curing but decreasing inflammation and increasing quality of life as well as eventual decreasing medication. Here is one informative review on diet and RA.

Well said, Simba. Diet has an impact on almost every medical condition. I suffered from a painful condition, endometriosis, for 20 years and cutting out red meat led to a dramatic reduction in pain. Red meat contains prostaglandins which cause pain and I did not then need to take anti prostaglandin pain killers. I only ever used to eat an occasional ham sandwich so I dread to think what steaks, burgers, roast dinners must do.

Red meat causes inflammation in the body. If you have an inflammatory condition, then eating red meat will exacerbate it. Exactly the same goes for fried food, especially take aways where the same oil or fat is re-used, such as fish and chips. That applies to RA in the same way as it applies to other inflammatory conditions.

As regards the NHS not giving dietary advice, would anybody take any notice? They have the great obese who cost exorbitant sums on the NHS but they don't refuse to treat them on the grounds that diet will relieve their condition yet in many cases it will. Most people with diabetes could go on a low calorie, sugar-free diet, but will they? I stayed on a sugar-free diet (20 g of natural sugars per day maximum) for ten years and it was very easy.

Meanwhile, NHS treatment is rationed.

I wasn’t even aware that it existed I’m afraid!
