sore guts can a touch of alcohol help

just been given ranitidine tabs to take for stomach probs but read that the liquid form itcontains alcohol i have touches of whiskey in coffee and found it helped don't go mad

As long as your not going mad on the whiskey i think a couple of drops won't hurt you,BUT get it checked first darling.xxxx

But don't drink if you are taking tramadol, they don't go well together and can cause serious problems.

I think you should go by the PIL and ask the GP or whoever prescibed it. One person's little tiple is anothers poison.

Definitely ask before trying... always refer to the patient information leaflet inside the box first then if still unsure ask the prescriber. Obviously common sense tells you that alcohol can give you stomach problems, causes it to make acid, particularly in the susceptible to it, so don't be surprised if you have reflux. Ranitidine helps ease it but will work better if it's not also working on the acid through whiskey.
