Just back from rheumy nurse appointment (via Aldi

Seems that meds are working after only 6 weeks, said swelling of joints are less than when I first saw her in August so staying on same dosage. Blood pressure a bit high so have to keep an eye on it, worse than can happen is I end up taking another med each day
Bit pleased with myself as I have also given up smoking, mind you have put a couple of kilos on though, nothing that can't be dealt with ....... onwards and upwards.

Rheumy really pleased about stopping smoking. Must admit though sometimes I could really do with a smoke.
It will get easier, promise. Try to keep yourself occupied, & not with sweeties! I know, keep telling yourself that you're doing so well so soon because you're not smoking any more, that it will save you money & you no longer smell like the smoker you pass on the street. 😉🌹
That's excellent - you are doing well indeed - especially with having given up the smoking! It is good to hear good news and that not everyone struggles to find the correct treatment for them or takes ages to respond.

You mustn’t feel guilty purl as newly diagnosed myself it’s nice to think there is light at the end of the tunnel, at that we can keep aiming for it,well done on quitting smoking too 🤗x
No you mustn't feel guilty. We're happy when someone responds positively so soon. That your Rheumy thinks the same is really good news. You've to remember it's more usual to hear of struggles, that's often the nature of forums so when we hear of someone who's noticed improvements it's lovely. I often say when someone posts when starting a med that they're not fast acting but you should notice some improvements within weeks, you're that person who has taken the time to share that it happens. I wish more did because I'm certain not everyone has a poor response. 😙
