did I get it right shalf?

Yes , although I don't like the Genius variety. The Schar Gluten Free brown or white Ciabatta rolls are far better xx

ahh I will know next time,it will be all new tastes for me because my diet is so bland, veg, salads and fish and chicken, so it will be nice to have taste :O)

Jazz the diet up with fresh lemon squeezed on fish before baking. Garlic into salads, ginger into chicken stirfrys, spring onions etc. :)

All good stuff Veronica. I hope you find like I did, that you can eat what you like (in the gf and milk free group) and you will lose weight. I am 5.5,8stone and according to BMI anorexic!!!!

8 stone!! Fab weight! Was always 8' 7 - 5f 6 in height. Gained a few pounds with not walking so much but back trying again :)

Its one of the advantages of being so deprived (my friends think) that I am slim and do not forever weight watch,no large gut, like I had before, so I do not mind at all and there are more and more Free From foodstuffs, I even saw Hobnobs in Asda yesterday! You are not exactly obese are you Shalf!!

Ermm.. No! 😂 But not as fit as I was. Rheumy has told me to go to gym and swim more.

I keep fit gardening, DIY, I spent 5 years doing up this cottage. I would love to swim but hate chlorine and its too cold on the East Coast to go in the sea!

Love swimming in the sea! Had a wee week in Cyprus recently, was hardly out the sea! Fabulous!

Lucky you! I loved swimming in NZ where I lived as a teenager and have visited since where fish swim with you and the water is clear, heaven! and eating their gorgeous ice cream which I could not do now and have to be content with Alpro which is fine!

Ahh NZ is on the to-do list for sure! Just looks such a refreshing healthy place - shame for the quakes though! Still wouldn't stop me going. I was on the beach in phi phi Thailand the year before the Tsunami destroyed it and those :( Yes, as much as I feel at times angry having RA , I don't forget there are people far worse off on this planet.

Have you looked up what Violife Original Flavour (what flavour?) Slices contains .....23% coconut oil which has 862 calories per 100 grams, plus starch, modified starch, seasalt, flavourings & colourings.

I think you might be as well eating regular cheese Veronica.

I haven't looked up the other products....but I surmise they may be necessary if you are coeliac ...but just a very expensive choice if you are not.

Have you actually had it confirmed if you have food intolerance to any group of foods? If you haven't speak to your Rheumy nurse & take her advice.

At least if it has no milk in it, that is ok for me, fat is not a problem once you sort yourself out.

Take care, many of the free from foods are high in carbohydrate, sugars and /or salts amongst other 'additives', they only replace some additives eg gluten with others.

Some free from foods , particularly gluten free are low in Vitamins...B , D and other vitamins too.

Making sure you eat an otherwise balanced diet is necessary to get what you need nutritionally and are not getting from free from foods.

There is little to be gained from free from foods (it is a multi billion pound/dollar ......'processed' ......food industry).

Fresh produce, meat or fish or vegetarian or vegan options of your choice with fresh fruit / veg and grains of your choice....whether they be wheat / oat / barley / beans /lentil etc are much better for you and much cheaper too ! (and tastier) .

Anything processed and in a plastic bag I would take with care as they are usually highly processed (except for a wee treat now and again)

Best wishes.
