Allergic rash from humira

Hi. I've had 7 humira injections so far. 5 were fine and working well. I have them every 14 days. No. 6 the skin reaction was vile at injection site. Bright red hot inflamed about 5 x 3 injections. No 7 did the same. Now I'm itching all over my body with red rash that's an allergic reaction apparently. Rheumy emailed me and said I might need steroids... Anyone else in this position. I'm awaiting surgery so concerned at steroids.... All comments welcomed. I already take daily anti histamine.

Morning just to let you know I had the same I itched from head to foot with hive looking rash . I saw my gp who advised me to cover myself with antihistamine cream . Eventually it cleared but I am now super allergic to so much now . I have been given a antihistamine that you can only get on prescription that seems to have helped . I had to weight up the itch to the pain and stiffness . Pain won . The other side effects I got was and still have slightly is a awful headache after injections . Please talk to your doctor wishing you well 💐🤗

Hi Hattie23 Sorry to hear that you are having so much discomfort with Humira and I hope that you will get some relief soon. Personally, I have never had any problems/reactions to Humira in the 13 years I have been on it so I cannot give any advice but to seek help. Hope all goes well with the surgeon.

Thank you very much. Surgeon wants me to have new joint so will have to stop humira awhile anyway..... Thanks for caring
