Humira + Methotrexate

I have been taking oral Methotrexate every Monday and how I am adding Humira injections every other week. Can I do the injection the same day as my MTX? Or should I choose a different day? And why?

Hi Stacey. I'm on Humira and Mtx too. I was advised to leave a couple of days between them. This is only relevant when you first start Humira. As my nurse advised....if you were to get side effects its easier to tell which drug has caused them. Any questions feel free to ask ok.

I usually take my Humira on a Monday and the Methetrexate on a Wednesday leaving a couple off days in between xxx

On mtrexate injections plus humira but also have two day gap Tues/Thurs

I was told 48 hrs after Mtx for biologics.

They were very insistent on this.

I'm on enbrel which is another anti tnf drug. I was told to leave a few days in between taking mtx and enbrel, the nurse said if I took them on the same day my immune system would be getting a double whammy. xx
