Hi Hurtalot-looks like you didn't quite finish your post! However, I've been on Humira since December and until recently I've had no problems at all. I had a break off meds due to some dental work. Within a few days of restarting Humira, I got a Kidney infection. I had a look online-as you do-and found quite a few mentions of Humira and Kidney infections. Personally though, given all the hot weather we've had, I put my infection down to dehydration. It would seem relying on your thirst isn't the best way to keep properly hydrated! A week on anti-biotics and my infection cleared up and touch wood I've been fine since.

Interested you wrote... Off humira for dental work. I'm HAVING to do humira privately... Long story.. Till NHS take me on. I've not been told anything re dental work despite asking. What are the criteria. Just cleaning or root canal work. It would be great to know. So sorry re kidney problems. I guess the weather hasn't helped as you say. Get some bloods done and be checked out properly. How often do you do bloods. I do monthly which I have print outs of for other consultants to see. Interestingly they don't always agree..... Take care if yourself. X

Hi Hattie. Good question! My dentist hadn't a clue but my Rheumy nurse suggested the only concern was if having an extraction to miss the nearest Humira jab. With regard to Kidney infection...my gp sent a urine sample off to Urology and made me an appt. Good job I'm ok cos the appt isn't until Sept 20th lol. These days I just have bloods every 3 months at my rheumy appts. At my hospital we have the my health system so all blood results etc are online the next day and accessible by me. Great system!

3 months!! I do bloods every month. I just book in the GP and they are happy. Try it out! Sept for urology is OK as long as you're OK. It's crazy isn't it... But life.... Keep smiling ☺

I was on monthly bloods before Humira as had high liver scores due to Methotrexate. Scores have normalised now since starting Humira in December as only on a low dose of Mtx these days. Hence the 3 monthly bloods.

Glad your bloods are sorting out. This is an awful game we all have to play. Wish I could give this disease to someone who likes being fed up. I've done 26 years now and it's beginning to pall...!!!! As long as we can smile its OK though. Best wishes x
