Brain fog?

Has any one experienced the following. I am taking the Bioligic Cimzia, I had a very bad flare 3 weeks ago. I had a steroid injection two days after the flare began. I slowly began to improve and then a week later picked up a cold that has knocked me. Symptoms, dry ticklely cough, quite heady very tired. Again general cold symptoms now improving. The thing I am wondering about is this. Before I had the flare, steroid and cold I would some days get up in the mornings and first off feel groggy not with it feeling. Head very full feeling and not really able to focus. Then when lots of noises around me i.e children, chatter, clattering of breakfast stuff even cereal packets opened dog barking. Just general noises.... I will feel hyper sensitive to the noises and not be able to focus. Its like an over active sensory thing. After an hour or so my head begins to clear and I feel less sensitive to noises. I am also on a general antidepressant for a number of years now. I know we are not to ask for diagnosis stuff or medical stuff. Just wonder if others experience such stuff. Also been stressful last weeks with flare and managing children life etc 😕 Any way just hoping I'm not getting brain malfunctions now too!! 😉 Maybe its old age kicking in!! 50yrs young!! 😋😁

Hello

Sorry to hear you are unwell at the moment.

In answer to your question...yes I'm very sensitive to noise. Also pretty foggy in the mornings. I think when you are in pain you become hypertensive to everything. Feels s bit like the body is in flight mode.

For the last few days the one year old in the flat above me has been screaming at a deafening pitch. All the dogs in the neighbourhood are putting paws over their ears. I have to go out, I can't stand it. I'm usually pretty tolerant.

The baby isn't being badly treated...ear infection!!!

Poor you. It's just what you don't need, feeling awful in this heat. The groggy brain fog thing is horrible and I've had it, off and on, for months. I've even asked Himself if he thought I had the start of dementia. He said if I was aware of a problem then I probably didn't. Noise has always been a problem for me. Called dystonia, I believe, there are certain sounds that either make me unreasonably angry or can reduce me to tears. Children screaming, noisy eaters (don't mention crisps), pen clickers, wind chimes etc. The list is endless. I sincerely hope you feel better very soon
