Anyone on high dose (25mg) of MTX had a broken bone and did they stop the MTX temporarily. I broke some ribs 12 months ago and after 11 months a CT scan showed that the bones had not repaired but moved apart. I wonder if they failed to mend due to MTX playing with my otherwise great immune system. They all knew I was on MTX but Rheumatologists did not know about the breaks. Is there a standard procedure to consider adverse effects of MTX under such circumstances?

I'm on MTX and Leflunomide, but neither wes stopped when I had Spinal fractures. After an Osteoporosis diagnosis they just added Bisphonate treatment. IMO they should have given you a bone density scan to find out for sure what is going on.
Hi I broke my ankle recently and was told not to stop MTX (as I specifically asked). They said if you had a wound then it would be different. I am on 20mg injections.
