Tongue in cheek title. Of course it won't go away but I've been suffering with RA since 1984 and in my experience attitude can make a huge difference. The more positive you can stay the less your symptoms affect you. I stay as independent as possible, only ask for help when absolutly necessary. I play Pollanna and try to think of something positive in every situation and remember I'm not the only one with this desease. I don't dwell on what i can no longer do and this helps to keep depression at bay. Still have the occasional blip when I feel a bit sorry for myself but mostly I'm fine. When I feel down I make myself feel thankful I haven't got something worse.😆
Ignore it and it will go away!: Tongue in cheek title... - NRAS
Ignore it and it will go away!
That is the attitude to have Sinders! We all have down days where we wallow in our misfortune to have this cruddy disease......but unless you can force yourself to perk up mentally, if not physically, you just feel worse.
I'm sure we all think our pain is worse than anyone else, but when I'm having a wallow I tell myself I can see,I can hear, I have enough food & drink.......& thank God live in a country where I can get medical help without financial worries.
Of course I wish I had never even heard of RA, let alone have it...but it is what it is & after 20 years - like you I put on my PollyAnna hat & know I just have to get on with my life.
With you all the way. Not Pollyanna though. Keep it going! All the best.
Wow, Sinderella, you are one great inspiration for all of us!!!. Keep posting some tips, so that we can all benefit. 🎩🎩🎩s off to you, dear !
